How a user or client business can request deletion of data associated with The Lumier, including data received through connected Meta and WhatsApp integrations.

Include these details

So that we can find the relevant data and verify the request, please include:

  • Your name
  • Business nameWhere applicable, for example if you are requesting deletion for a client business.
  • Email addressThe address associated with your account or request.
  • WhatsApp or business account identifierWhere applicable, such as the WhatsApp Business phone number, WhatsApp Business Account ID or Meta business name.
  • Verification informationEnough information for ORLECA LTD to confirm your identity or your authority to act for the business.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your request by replying to your email.
  2. We verify your identity or authority. Before deleting anything, ORLECA LTD will verify that the request comes from the person the data relates to, or from someone authorised to act for the relevant business. We may ask for more information to do this.
  3. We delete or anonymise the data. Relevant data under ORLECA LTD’s control that is associated with The Lumier, including data received through connected Meta or WhatsApp integrations, will be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
  4. We confirm the outcome by email, including any data we are unable to delete and the reason why.

How long it takes

Requests will generally be handled within 30 days of receipt, subject to applicable law. If a request is complex, or we need more information to verify it, we will let you know.

Data we may need to keep

Some data may be excluded from deletion where we are legally required to retain it, or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. For example, this may include certain financial or business records. Where this applies, we will keep only what is necessary, for no longer than necessary, and will tell you in our response.

Patients of client businesses

Dental clinics and other client businesses use The Lumier to manage their own patient information. For that information, the client business is normally the controller and ORLECA LTD processes it on the client’s instructions.

If you are a patient or prospective patient of a clinic that uses The Lumier, you can contact the clinic directly. You can also email us: deletion of client-controlled patient information may require coordination with the relevant client business, and we will work with that business to handle your request.

Revoking Meta and WhatsApp access

A client business that has connected its WhatsApp Business account to The Lumier can also revoke that access directly through its Meta business settings, for example by removing The Lumier’s access to the WhatsApp Business account or business assets in Meta Business Suite. People who authorised the connection with their Facebook account can also review and remove business integrations in their Facebook settings.

Revoking access and deleting data are separate steps. Revoking access stops The Lumier from receiving new data through that connection. To request deletion of data that has already been received, please also send a deletion request as described above.
